Molson Cup set to kick off at Canlan Ice Sports – York

TORONTO, Ont. — The inaugural Molson Canadian ASHL Eastern Cup will officially start tonight with the first puck being dropped shortly after 7:00 p.m. Taking Canlan Ice Sports – York by storm will be over 50 ASHL teams from the league’s six Greater Toronto locations, as well as a contingent of travellers from the league’s Brossard facility in the Montreal suburbs.

The hype for the tournament will extend beyond the ice as players will be welcomed by York’s brand-new Locker Room Lounge in the Thirsty Penguin, which is quite essentially the place you want to be to enjoy some post-game beverages and food.

It doesn’t stop there, as the facility will also welcome its first teams into the Molson Canadian Locker Room which is just about everything you could possibly dream of as a rec hockey player. Stalls? Yup. Television? You bet. Bluetooth speakers? Come on, of course.

Both of these features will remain in place for ASHL players at York to enjoy for the Fall/Winter season and beyond, but participants at the Molson Cup will get first access to see it for themselves.

Players at the tournament will also have access to complimentary massages – yeah, you read that right – and a fully licensed (and stocked) patio to enjoy your favourite Molson Canadian beverages.
